The xrEndSession function is defined as:

XrResult xrEndSession(
    XrSession                                   session);

Parameters

Parameter Descriptions
  • session is a handle to a running XrSession.

Description

The application calls xrEndSession to end a running session. This function signals to the runtime that the application no longer wishes to display rendered output, read input state, or control haptic events. If this session was not running, then XR_ERROR_SESSION_NOT_RUNNING will be returned.

Valid Usage (Implicit)
Return Codes
On success, this command returns
  • XR_SUCCESS

  • XR_SESSION_LOSS_PENDING

On failure, this command returns
  • XR_ERROR_INSTANCE_LOST

  • XR_ERROR_SESSION_LOST

  • XR_ERROR_RUNTIME_FAILURE

  • XR_ERROR_HANDLE_INVALID

  • XR_ERROR_SESSION_NOT_RUNNING

  • XR_ERROR_VALIDATION_FAILURE
