C Specification

The XrSystemGeospatialPropertiesANDROID structure is defined as:

// Provided by XR_ANDROID_geospatial
typedef struct XrSystemGeospatialPropertiesANDROID {
    XrStructureType    type;
    void*              next;
    XrBool32           supportsGeospatial;
} XrSystemGeospatialPropertiesANDROID;

Members

Member Descriptions
  • type is the XrStructureType of this structure.

  • next is NULL or a pointer to the next structure in a structure chain. No such structures are defined in core OpenXR or this extension. For more details about the structure chain, see the structure being extended (XrSystemProperties).

  • supportsGeospatial is an XrBool32, indicating if the current system supports geospatial features.

Description

An application can inspect whether the system supports geospatial features by chaining an XrSystemGeospatialPropertiesANDROID structure to the XrSystemProperties when calling xrGetSystemProperties.

If a runtime returns XR_FALSE for supportsGeospatial, the system does not support geospatial features, and therefore must return XR_ERROR_FEATURE_UNSUPPORTED from xrCreateGeospatialTrackerANDROID. The application should avoid using geospatial functionality when supportsGeospatial is XR_FALSE.
